Residents said rockets were fired at Maitika airport in the Libyan capital of Tripoli late on Tuesday, and authorities announced a halt to air traffic at the airport and diverting flights to Misrata airport.
This came less than a week after the United Nations brokered a fragile truce between rival armed groups in the city.
A spokesman for a faction controlling the airport, the only airport operating in the capital, said there were no casualties or damage.
Libyan television reported that several people were injured by rockets, one of which landed in the Mediterranean Sea.
