The new Iraqi parliament speaker Mohammed al-Halbusi said that Egypt is against corruption, stressing that the scourge is rampant in the majority of Iraqi institutions.
Al-Jalbousi revealed in a televised statement that the parliamentary blocs are conducting serious consultations to reach a government that will be agreed upon by all. If this is not possible, the largest bloc will be resorted to.
He explained Halabousi that the role of the largest bloc in the Iraqi parliament is limited to identify the candidate prime minister.
He also hoped that his election as speaker of the Iraqi parliament is the first step on the road to forming a strong government, capable of moving the country forward.
He hinted the new parliament speaker that anyone who is subjected to the legislative institution to fabricate without evidence will be held accountable, calling on everyone to "review himself."
Halabousi stressed that he will work to fight corruption, which hits all state institutions, by working to select competent figures to carry out their tasks to the fullest.
The parliamentary session on Saturday, four months after the parliamentary elections, the Iraqi parliament succeeded in electing MP Mohammed Halbusi as its president, who is the youngest speaker of the parliament in the history of Iraq.
