Trump's Supreme Court candidate denies allegations of sexual assault

While fighting, Brett Cavanaugh, to save his candidacy to the US Supreme Court, angrily denied on Thursday the accusations of a university professor that he sexually assaulted her 36 years ago, the day he gave his testimony, which drew attention at the level of the United States.
Christine Blazy Ford appeared publicly for the first time, and her voice is sometimes tempered with emotion to detail her accusation of Kavanu, the conservative judge of the Federal Court of Appeals, which was chosen by US President Donald Trump to join the highest US court, Reuters reported.
Ford told the Senate Judiciary Committee that she feared Cavanaugh would rape her and accidentally kill her during the alleged 1982 assault when the two were in high school in Maryland.
She said she was "100% sure" that Cavanaugh was the one who assaulted her.
Cavanaugh testified after Ford finished her testimony, claiming he was the victim of "a clear and strange assassination of personality" orchestrated by Democratic senators, adding that he denied Ford's claims "in toto" and vowed he would not back down.
He added: "I will not allow intimidation until I withdraw from this process."
The testimony lasted about nine hours, full of emotion and emotion, and came amid the Me2 campaign against sexual harassment and abuse, attracting millions of Americans who followed it on television and smart phones.
The Republican-controlled Senate must now decide whether to vote for the appointment of Cavanaugh after a 9-hour hearing.
Sometimes, Cavanaugh choked with tears, especially when he mentioned that his daughter had suggested they arrive for Ford, and when he talked about his father and when he mentioned that his girlfriends were happy to support him.
During her testimony, which lasted more than four hours, Ford, a professor of psychology at California's Palo Alto University, said Cavanaugh was drunk and assaulted and tried to take off her clothes during an adolescent gathering when he was 17 when she was 15.
