    The Department of Investigation of the Integrity Commission said on Sunday that 13 desalination plants in [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] province, which were handed over to Iraq by donor countries , have been seized and have not been operational since its establishment in 2006.
    The Department said in a statement that "the team of investigation and judicial control in the Directorate of Investigation Commission in Basra, who moved to the site of the stations, was able to control 13 desalination plants (RO) capacity of production (10 - 48) tons per hour," indicating that "These stations were provided by some donor countries and were established in 2006 in a number of districts and areas of the province." 
    The Department pointed out that "all these stations have not been operated and benefited from since its inception, which is - until now - suspended from work, and led to the disappearance of its equipment and filter filters and pipes, as well as some of the parts of the theft," asserting " Investigative papers to the competent investigating judge to take appropriate legal action. "
