{International: Al Furat News} Brent crude rose nearly 2 percent after hitting its highest level in four years on Wednesday evening as the market focused on US sanctions on Iran.
This came as the market ignored the biggest weekly increase in US crude inventories and reports of increased supplies from Saudi Arabia and Russia.
US crude stocks jumped 8 million bpd last week, four times more than analysts had expected and the biggest since March 2017, according to the US Energy Information Administration.
Brent rose $ 1.49, or 1.8 percent, to settle at $ 86.29 a barrel after hitting its highest level since October 30, 2014 at $ 86.74 a barrel.
