    Prime Minister Haidar Abadi discussed during a meeting with a number of officials the preliminary draft of the draft general budget law for the year two thousand and nineteen.
    Abadi stressed the importance of the budget to respond to the decisions adopted by the decisions in the light of the meetings conducted by the federal government with the representatives of the provinces to provide services to citizens and create jobs, stressing the need to support investment projects and secure allocations for petrodollar projects and development of the provinces.
    He called for the importance of reducing the budget deficit and focus on assigning the most needy segments of the Iraqi people, and focus on covering service projects for the province of Basra in particular.

    Prime Minister Haider Abadi , on Thursday, to support investment projects and secure the necessary allocations for petrodollar projects in the federal budget law for next year. 

    The media office of Abadi said in a statement received by Alsumaria News a copy of it, the latter "chaired a meeting to discuss the preliminary draft of the draft budget law for the year 2019 in the presence of a number of officials and advanced staff of the Ministry of Finance," noting that "was confirmed to support investment projects and secure allocations for petrodollar projects And the development of the provinces, and focus on covering service projects for the province of Basra in particular.

    Abadi stressed, according to the statement, "the basic principles that should be paid attention to when preparing the budget items, and the importance of responding to the adopted projects in which decisions were issued in the light of meetings we have with representatives of the provinces to provide services to citizens and create jobs," stressing the importance of reducing Budget deficit and focus on assigning the most needy segments of the Iraqi people. " 

    The Cabinet discussed in its meeting held (September 18, 2018) the Federal Budget Bill for the fiscal year 2019.
