    BAGHDAD - The Ministry of Transport announced on Saturday that it will install and operate surveillance cameras on passenger trains to monitor and diagnose people who stoned trains with stones and to monitor collisions and violations.
    "It will be the first camera inside the driver's cabin with a pickup to record the sound and monitor the work and the people inside the cockpit, and the second one is installed at the front of the train from the outside," Transport Minister Kazem Fangan Al-Eamy said in a statement received by Iraq News.
    "The cameras will work to record and monitor the work for more than two weeks, even in the case of stopping and extinguishing trains," adding that "these cameras will contribute to the monitoring and documentation of cases of collisions and violations that may get the rail lines, in addition to the excesses that get trains , Including the diagnosis of people stoning the train with stones.
    Al Hamami said that "the work will continue until the completion of passenger trains, and after that cameras are installed locomotives, and will continue to be developed so that the location of the train through the control room as well as speed and quantity of fuel."
