A joint task force, along with its own Iraqi forces, has arrested 10 suspected members of a network that provided funding to Daish in Baghdad and the city of Erbil, the International Alliance Against Da'ash said.
The US-led coalition said in a statement that the "Task Force" carried out raids from October 7 to 9, and arrested suspected members of the al-Rawi financial network, which operates a financial facilitation group for extremists.
Major General Patrick B. Roberson, commander of Joint Special Operations Task Force - Solid Torque Process: "Arrests a powerful blow to the ability of [Da'ash] to threaten and intimidate civilians"
"This shows that those who help, sponsor or provide financial, material or technological support to [Da'ash] will face dire consequences," Roberson said.
Iraq declared victory over a supporter in December 2018 after the restoration of large tracts of land.
