America: An unknown message reveals 11 bodies of an infant
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Detroit police said on Saturday they had found the bodies of 11 babies hidden in a former funeral home after authorities received an anonymous message.
"The investigation is ongoing after the authorities found nine bodies in a deep decomposition inside a box and two bodies inside a coffin at the former Canteril Funeral House," Lieutenant Brian Bowser, a city police officer, told reporters.
"The police are trying to contact Raymond Cantrell, the former owner of the funeral home," he said.
"The Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs sent delegates to the property on the eastern side of the city, after receiving an anonymous letter describing the remains," Bowser said.
"The authorities are currently in the process of identifying children and informing their families. It is unclear how long the bodies have been hidden and that some of the children appear to have been born dead." Ending
