    "The exchange rate reached 1190 dinars per dollar in the auction held with the participation of 36 banks," the bank said in a statement. 
    The statement added that "these sales are the results of the auction next Tuesday," explaining that "the total sales totaled $ 177.98 million."

    The Central Bank of Iraq sold more than $ 183 million in the sale of foreign currency today.


    The Central Bank said in a statement received (Bona News) a copy of it, "the total amount sold today, amounted to 183 million and 753 thousand and 390 dollars, with the participation of 31 banks and one company."


    "The total sales for the purposes of strengthening the balance abroad (remittances and credits) amounted to 152 million 253 thousand and 390 dollars, while the total cash sales amounted to 31 million and 500 dollars."


    The sale of amounts transferred to the accounts of banks abroad and selling cash, the price of 1190 dinars per dollar.

    The central bank on Tuesday called on companies to broker the sale and purchase of foreign currencies to merge to form a single banking institution.
    "It calls on companies wishing to merge to form a single banking institution based on the amended Companies Law No. 21 of 1997," the bank said in a statement. "The aim is to achieve financial and banking stability and create a competitive business environment."
    He added that "the formation of a larger entity covers more services commensurate with the size of the merged institution and thus access to more financial services by the Central Bank commensurate with the size."
    The bank said that "the merger will be according to two categories, including A, which requires that the merger is not less than 10 companies, which will form a capital of not less than 5 billion dinars," pointing out that "this category will receive a name exchange company instead of mediating and will enter the activity of mediating the sale and purchase of foreign currency within Its activities as one of the privileges that it will enjoy, in addition to allowing it to carry out foreign remittances, as well as the opening of branches do not exceed 3 branches.
    He stressed that "the second category, which is called B, where the integration of a number of not less than 5 companies, which will form a capital of not less than 2 billion and 500 million dinars and 500 million dinars each company," pointing out that "these companies will be granted privileges include the name of the institution that will result On the merger with (a money exchange) and not mediating where the intervention will enter the mediation of the sale and purchase of foreign currencies within the activity as one of the privileges that will enjoy.
