An Arab newspaper on Sunday unveiled parliamentary moves to hold senior government officials accountable, and indicated there were efforts to issue a travel ban.

"These deputies, including ministers, deputies, advisers and general managers, some of whom were questioned within the previous parliament, while others did not attend, were questioned," the paper quoted a parliamentary speaker as saying.
The official stressed that "the deputies are seeking to open files of corruption against them, in coordination with the former Integrity Commission and the Integrity Commission," explaining that "there are files of corruption against a number of them, while others face charges."

He added that "this step comes within the framework of a judicial decision to prevent officials from traveling outside the country, pending investigations into their files, which will be presented to the judiciary and the Presidency of Parliament, and prove their innocence of the charges against them and hold accountable those who prove charges against him," pointing out that " Efforts to resolve the files and the issuance of the decision to prevent travel, before the end of the connection of these officials and their circles, and fled outside the country.
