Exports of Iranian goods to Iraq in seven months[/rtl]

The growth of exports of Iranian goods to Iraq over the past seven months has risen to 57 percent compared to the same period last year, Assistant Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade Mujtaba Khosro Taj said.
"Self-sufficiency policies adopted by Iran have been more successful than export development," Khosro Taj said at a ceremony honoring exporters elected by the Iranian Export Guarantee Fund.
"There are 10,000 economic activists in the field of exports," he said, adding that "500 companies are exporting 80 percent of the goods out of the country," calling for "more attention to small and medium-sized companies in the field of exports."
"As a financial guarantee institution, banks have an important role to play in securing exports," said the assistant minister of industry, mines and trade. "But the export guarantee fund must have a bigger role with its counterparts in the world in issuing letters of guarantee."
