The Turkish ambassador to Baghdad, Fatih Yildiz, asked the federal government to remove the "obstacles" facing investors from his country's people in Iraq.
"During my visit to Basra, I had the opportunity to meet Industry and Minerals Minister Saleh al-Jubouri, who was there," Yildiz said Friday.
"The minister stressed that they are ready to work to attract Turkish investors," he said.
"I made clear to the minister some of the obstacles that they (investors) face," Yildiz said, adding that he and the minister would work "together" to remove those obstacles.
