    Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki on Saturday, said the proposal to form a national council to oversee the oil policy is an abuse of the law, while noting that the proposal is a temporary solution, political parties accused of obstructing the passage of a law of oil and gas during the previous and current sessions.
    Maliki said in an interview televised I followed "Alsumaria News", that "the proposal to form a national council to oversee the oil policy in Iraq is not against the law because it already exists in the oil law, which was approved by the Council of Ministers in 2007," noting that "the Constitution stipulates that the oil and gas is the property of all Iraqis, but it must be a body to manage or regulate this process. "
    Maliki accused unnamed political parties to "disable oil and gas law for discussion and approval during the current and previous sessions of the House of Representatives," he said, adding that "Therefore we have proposed the formation of this council involving producing provinces until the law was passed."
    The Prime Minister stressed that "the laws come for the government unworkable and contain problems because some of the political blocs to adopt a policy of appeasement and compromises in the legislation of laws in the parliament."
    Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki suggested in (January 19 now), the formation of a national council to oversee the oil wealth in Iraq until the adoption of the law of oil and gas, stressing the need to unite his fortune in Iraq.
    The Iraqi government announced, in (28 August 2012), on the ratification of the draft law of oil and gas, and decided to forward it to Parliament for approval, but the bill sparked mixed reactions, most unit position of the Kurdistan Alliance and the Presidency of the Kurdistan region.
