    Decrease in the volume of foreign imports to Iraq in 2017
    The Ministry of Planning announced on Saturday a significant decline in the volume of foreign imports in 2017, noting that imports through sea ports are the highest value compared to land ports.
    "The total imports of goods and petroleum products for 2017 amounted to 31.6 billion dollars, or 37.4 trillion dinars, recording a decline rate of 34.9% for the year 2016, which amounted to $ 48.6 billion, or the equivalent of 57.4 trillion dinars "He said.
    He added that "the total imports of oil products for the year 2017 amounted to 2.4 billion dollars or the equivalent of 2.9 trillion dinars, a rise of 22.4% over the year 2016, where the compound growth rate of 3.8% over the year 2015.
    The report pointed out that "the volume of non-oil commodity imports amounted to 29.1 billion dollars or the equivalent of 34.5 trillion dinars, a decrease of 37.3% over the year 2016, which amounted to imports of 46.6 billion dollars or the equivalent of 55 trillion dinars," noting that "the volume of non-commodity imports Oil by sea ports amounted to about 24.5 billion dollars, recording a decrease of 42.4% over the year 2016, which amounted to $ 42.6 billion in imports.
