Water Resources Declares Reduced Salinity of Shatt al-Arab Water by 75%Minister of Water Resources Gamal al-Adli confirmed that there has been a significant decrease in the salinity of the Shatt al-Arab waters.
"The salinity of the Shatt al-Arab waters has decreased by 75 percent from the previous days, and salinity will continue to decline," Al-Adli said in a press statement.
"The ministry is continuing to release sufficient quantities of water towards the Shatt al-Arab, benefiting from the flood waters coming from the eastern side of the country," he added.
