US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo issued a statement saying Iran had just tested a medium-range ballistic missile capable of carrying multiple warheads.
"The missile has room to strike parts of Europe and anywhere in the Middle East," Pompeo said, adding that "the missile test violated Security Council Resolution 2231 issued by the Secretary-General of the United Nations."
"The Iranian regime has carried out a medium-range test," Pompeo said in a statement. A ballistic missile capable of carrying multiple warheads. The missile has a range that allows it to hit parts of Europe and anywhere in the Middle East. "
"This test violates UN Security Council Resolution 2231, which prohibits Iran from engaging in any missile-related activity designed to be capable of producing nuclear weapons, including the use of ballistic missile technology."
"We have been warning for some time, Iran's missile test and the proliferation of missiles are increasing, and we see the danger of escalation in the region if we fail to restore deterrence." We condemn these activities, calling on Tehran to "immediately cease all missile-related activities designed to be capable of Production of nuclear weapons ".
