Maliki: America seeks to annex Iraq as part of a coalition led by Saudi Arabia
The head of a coalition of state law, Nuri al-Maliki that the formation of the Arab NATO against Iran is doomed to failure, noting that the United States seeks to annex Iraq as part of a coalition led by Saudi Arabia
"The Iraqi government will not be a member of any alliance with America and Saudi Arabia against Iran and will not allow its territory to be used against its neighbor Iran," Maliki said in an interview with Iran's Radio and Television.
"Iraq will never be part of any Saudi-led coalition because Saudi Arabia, by supporting Da'ash and other terrorist groups, has brought only war and destruction to Iraq," Maliki said.
Maliki said the United States wanted Iraq to be part of a Saudi-led alliance, saying it was a challenge for Baghdad.
He added that "the new Iraqi government to get out of the American axis, because Iraqi political alliances will not remain silent about the survival of Iraq with this axis.
He noted that the US embargo against Iran was immoral, stressing that Iraq would not be part of the US embargo against Iran.
