Siemens is preparing a road map to rehabilitate Iraq's power grid
Siemens, the German company, said it hoped to get the support of the Iraqi government to implement the road map to rehabilitate the electricity grid in Iraq. "The roadmap is not a project, but several strategic electric projects to solve the problems of electric power in Iraq," the company's chief executive, Musab al-Khatib, said in a press release.
"The road map is made up of three short, medium and long strands, where there are many projects to meet the demand for electricity," he said.
He pointed out that "the former Iraqi government headed by Haider al-Abadi and the current headed by Adel Abdul-Mahdi welcomed the plan (road map) to Siemens Electric," noting that "his company is considering the road map with the new government and its findings with the previous government."
