Iran's central bank governor Abdel Nasser Hamati announced on Tuesday the creation of channels of financial exchange and the abolition of the dollar between Iran and several countries, describing it as an important step in the face of the financial embargo imposed on Iran.
"The financial channels between Iran and a number of countries have started to cancel the dollar in trade," Hamati said in a statement to the newspaper. "It is an important step in the face of the financial embargo imposed on Iran."
He added that "financial agreements have been concluded in practice between Iran and some countries, and this issue will be strengthened in the future."
"Due to the low rate of hard currency, we hope that foreign currency will be offered at lower prices to supply the production requirements," Hamati said. Ending / 25
