    Iraq raised US Treasury bonds and bonds by 70.9% by the end of October, compared to the same month of 2017, according to data from the US Treasury Department.
    Iraq's investments in US Treasury bills and bonds stood at $ 31.1 billion at the end of October compared to $ 18.2 billion at the end of the same month last year.
    On a monthly basis, Iraq's investments in US Treasuries and Treasuries rose by 5.8%, after reaching $ 29.4 billion in September 2018.
    Iraq ranked 31th in the world in the possession of US Treasury bills, while it ranked fourth in the Arab world after Saudi Arabia at $ 171.3 billion, followed by the United Arab Emirates with $ 57.7 billion and Kuwait with $ 44.1 billion.
    China topped the list with the largest US holdings of US $ 1.139 trillion, followed by Japan with US $ 1.018 trillion and Brazil with US $ 313.9 billion.
