The General Company of Iraqi Airways plans to launch additional flights in conjunction with New Year's Day celebrations.
The company's general manager Abbas Nasser said in an interview with the official newspaper "Sabah" that his company will launch this week additional flights to several international destinations, including: Beirut, Istanbul and Manama, noting that this comes in conjunction with the celebrations of New Year's Day, The company's efforts of booking and issuing offices accredited inside and outside the country.
He added that the measures came in conjunction with the promotional offers launched by the company during the last period, in parallel with the ministry's decision to transfer free of charge for passengers of Iraqi Airways exclusively from the yard of Abbas bin Firnas to the halls of Baghdad International Airport and vice versa.
Nasser said that last November, witnessed an increase in the amounts received from the work of the aircraft and other technical works provided to domestic and foreign airlines inside Baghdad International Airport, which exceeded the value of 130 thousand dollars.
