BAGHDAD / The deputy of the Alliance for Reform and Reconstruction, Asaad Barah, said Tuesday that the Speaker of Parliament Mohammad Halbousi committed a constitutional violation in the session of the election of Minister of Education Shaima Hayali because he did not count the votes of deputies voting, but appreciation.
"The post of Minister of Education Shaima al-Hayali is illegitimate, because when the parliament began to vote for it, it was supposed that the decision of the parliament to count the votes of members voting, but none of this happened, but the votes of deputies were assessed from By Parliament Speaker Mohamed Halboussi. "
"Halabousi responded to us when we started to collect signatures to restore the voting process, he estimated the number of voters according to his view and told us that this estimate is not realistic at all," noting that "the election of the district is unconstitutional and contrary to the rules of procedure of Parliament and therefore it is necessary to re-vote."
The House of Representatives voted during its regular session on Monday to choose the current Shaima for the post of Minister of Education, while voting for the selection of Nofal Baha for the post of Minister of Migration and Displaced, while failing to pass Faisal Jirba for the post of Minister of Defense.
