(Reuters) - The electronic voting system is idle, expensive and expensive to repair, Iraqi legislator Faik Sheikh Ali said on Wednesday.
"The media reports that voting in the House of Representatives is invalid, because it is left to the estimates," Sheikh Ali said in a publication on social networking sites Twitter.
"I regret and am shocked to say that our heroic demonstrators, who stormed the House of Representatives in 2016, have destroyed all the electronic voting systems inside the hall and under the pretext of the costly re-installation of electronic voting," he said.
