MP Abdul Amir Al-Dabi, on Monday, apologized to the Christians on the back of previous statements, stressing that he is a supporter of their ministerial entitlement to the government of Adel Abdul Mahdi.

"There has been a lot of recent talk about a section in which I spoke about Christian brothers about the marriage of Muslims to Christians," Al-Dabbi said in a statement.

He added that "whoever observes the Hadith, there is no deviation, harm or injury to the feelings of the brothers, and that the Islamic religion may marry the Christians and there is no legal form."

"Everyone, including brothers Rayyan Chaldean and Aswan Chaldean, know my hardline position by demanding the rights of the brothers of Christ, especially in their right to the Ministry of Justice or any other ministry," he said.

He stressed that "our ethics and our culture do not allow us to go beyond the brothers of Sharakuna at home and live in it thousands of years and the last thing they offered is that they brought their blood with us in order to free him from profiting from criminals."

Al-Dabbi stressed that "we can not compromise on the dignity and rights of the brothers Christ and the seventh impossible to think about the wound of their feelings, and if they are excited about what we put and that was misunderstood, we apologize them very apology and excuse when the people acceptable."
