Egyptian court issued a new decision on the islands of "Tiran and Sanafir"

The Egyptian Administrative Court today issued a decision in a lawsuit demanding the suspension and cancellation of the decision of the Council of Ministers to refer the agreement delineation of the maritime border between Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
According to the Egyptian newspaper Al-Shorouk, the court decided to postpone the lawsuit demanding the suspension and cancellation of the decision of the Council of Ministers to refer the agreement delineation of the maritime border between Egypt and Saudi Arabia, which transferred the islands of Tiran and Sanafir of the Kingdom, to the House of Representatives, for the meeting of 2 March next.
The lawsuit said that the decision of the Council of Ministers contested was in violation of the Constitution and the law and the final ruling issued by the Supreme Administrative Court, concerning the Egyptian islands of Tiran and Sanafir, noting that the Constitution prevented the executive authority from signing treaties that entail the removal of part of the territory of the State.
In March 2017, the Supreme Constitutional Court issued a ruling not to respect all the contradictory provisions previously issued by the State Council and the Court of Urgent Matters in the Tiran and Sanafir case.
