Oil rises with support from OPEC cuts
Oil prices rose, recovering from a one-and-a-half-year low in December, backed by OPEC output cuts and stock market stability.
US West Texas Intermediate crude futures were $ 48.52 a barrel, up 56 cents, or 1.17 percent.
Oil futures have gained more than 7 percent since Monday.
