The Minister of Labor discusses with the committees of labor, migration and the displaced the parliamentary ways to provide the necessary support to the ministry

The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Dr. [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/106534/%D8%A8%D8%A7%D8%B3%D9%85 %D8%B9%D8%A8%D8%AF %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B2%D9%85%D8%A7%D9%86]Bassem Abdel-Zaman,[/url]discussed with members of the Labor, Migration and Displaced Persons Committees the necessary support for the Ministry on Wednesday, 2019/1/9 at the House of Representatives.
The Minister explained to the members of the committees the circumstances of the fire which broke out in the house of rehabilitation of displaced women in Adhamiya last week and the ministry to open an extensive investigation to find out who is responsible for the incident, pointing out that the results of the investigation will be announced soon to get the culprit fair.
During the meeting, he reviewed the most important activities of the Ministry's departments and performance levels, and how to target the poor and vulnerable segments of society and the inclusion of those entitled to social protection after providing a detailed explanation of the Ministry's budget 2019.
For their part, members of the committees expressed their readiness to demand coverage of the deficit in order to expand the ministry in providing services to the vulnerable groups, especially their inclusion in the social protection program as well as the salaries of the full-time disabled and special needs as well as small income-generating loans and social security for workers.
Abdul-Zaman presented an explanation of the Social Protection Act No. 11 of 2014 as a qualitative leap in providing a safe social umbrella for those below the poverty line. He also explained the importance of the Disability Welfare and Special Needs Law No. 38 of 2013 and its privileges and exemptions for the disabled and special needs .
He pointed out that the success of the ministry in its work and the implementation of its strategy is the result of cooperation with the social partners who support its process, including [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/31341/%D9%84%D8%AC%D9%86%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B9%D9%85%D9%84]the work committee[/url]He said that the ministry has an ambitious plan to upgrade its work and develop the quality of social services it provides to be one of the branches of support for the community.
