BAGHDAD - 
Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi on Tuesday discussed with the Secretary General of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), Houlin Zaw, the introduction of communication technology into the work of ministries and sectors of the state. 
"The Prime Minister received today at his official office the Secretary General of the International Telecommunication Union. During the meeting, he discussed the reality of communications in Iraq and the proceedings of the international conference to launch the Dom initiative of the Information Authority, Communications ". 
Abdul Mahdi stressed during the meeting, "the government's interest in the development of communications technology to enter into the work of all ministries and sectors of the state and society and the need to keep up with what is witnessed by this important sector of development and modernization constantly." 
For his part, the international official expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the government in the field of communication development, and his wishes for Iraq to achieve further development in all areas.
"During his first visit to Iraq, he was briefed on the details of the developments in the field of telecommunications," Zaw said, adding that "the International Federation is ready to support and develop the communications technology and to spread the benefits in various fields." Ending / 25
