    Data from the American Petroleum Institute showed that crude stocks in the United States fell last week, while gasoline inventories and distillates increased.
    Crude stocks fell 560,000 barrels in the week ending Jan. 11 to 437 million barrels, compared with analysts' forecasts of a 1.3 million barrel decline.
    Crude inventories at the Kashing delivery center in Oklahoma fell 796,000 barrels, the institute said.
    Refinery utilization rates fell by 159,000 barrels per day (bpd).
    Gasoline inventories increased by 6 million barrels, compared to analysts' forecasts in a Reuters poll of 2.8 million barrels.
    The data showed distillate stocks, including diesel and heating oil, rising by 3.2 million barrels, compared to expectations of an increase of 1.6 million barrels.
    US crude oil imports fell last week by 177,000 bpd to 7.3 million bpd. Ending / 25
