    Speaker of the House of Representatives Mohamed Halbusi, on Saturday, with the parliamentary finance committee to reduce the deficit in the parliamentary budget. 
    "The Speaker of the Parliament received today, members of the Parliamentary Finance Committee during an expanded meeting, financial allocations for the development of regions and investment projects." 
    He added that "the meeting reviewed the needs of the liberated provinces of Dahesh and provinces that suffer from lack of services, as well as the needs of the Ministry of Defense and Education, Health and Water Resources in the federal budget." 
    The statement pointed out that "the meeting dealt with addressing the file of the sons of the Awakening, and finding a financial cover for the file of building schools and wages of lecturers."
    He pointed out that "ways have been discussed to reduce the deficit in the federal budget for the year 2019 and reduce the volume of external loans, which does not affect the nature of the movement of investment and reconstruction and to create employment opportunities for young people." 
    "The need to end the transfer of funds in the Ministry of Finance in a manner commensurate with the needs of the federal government." 
    He pointed out that "the meetings are continuing to resolve the problems in some paragraphs of the budget and its provisions, in order to accelerate the adoption and meet the aspirations of the Iraqi citizen," and commended "the efforts of the Committee in the discussions to prepare the budget."
