, said US President Donald Trump, he made NATO "members of NATO " to pay more money, pointing out that this has not happened for years.

" NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg has begun to do so," he wrote on Twitteron Sunday. "By virtue of my alliance, NATO has been able to raise funds from its members."
"This has not happened before, and in recent years there has been a decline in the amount of money that the alliance gets from its members."

"This is something that can be called burden sharing," Trump said, adding that "more and more, the Democrats and the false media want to portray it backwards."

On Tuesday, January 22, the US House of Representatives approved legislation to prevent US President Donald Trump from withdrawing from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).
The legislation included Trump's criticism for his successive attack on the NATO strategic alliance and suggestions that might lead to his departure.

The legislation passed by 357 votes, compared with 22 votes, and all votes were rejected by Democrats.

Trump told his advisers several times in 2018 that he wanted to withdraw from NATO, according to a previous report to the New York Times , while continuing to publicly denounce his alliance partners for weakening their spending on defense.
