    President Barham Saleh discussed Tuesday with Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi the political situation and how to implement the government program.
    "President Barham Saleh received at the Peace Palace on Tuesday Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi," a statement issued by Saleh's office said.
    He added that "the two sides discussed the regional and international situations and the latest political developments and their impact on the Iraqi arena also stressed the importance of supporting the government in the implementation of its political and service to improve the standard of living of citizens."
    The two sides stressed "the need to address the problems between the political parties by pursuing constructive dialogue and continuous communication and to give priority to the national interest of the country."
