The head of the province of al-Ruba province of Anbar, Emad al-Dulaimi, on Saturday revealed Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi later today to attend the opening ceremony of the port of Tarbil border with Jordan west of the province.
"Anbar governor Ali Farhan al-Dulaimi and a number of members of the government and security leaders arrived at the border port of Tarbil with Jordan awaiting the arrival of Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi to reopen the port for the first time in years," Dulaimi said in a statement.
He added that a high-level delegation from the Jordanian side will arrive in the next few hours to attend the signing of memorandums of understanding between the two countries concerning the resumption of trade exchange with Iraq, as well as other facilities for passengers and visa.
Dulaimi pointed out that "the reopening of the port of Tarbil border with Jordan will contribute to the recovery of the Iraqi economy and reflected positively on the province of Anbar." Ending 12 /
