Iran on Friday began its celebrations marking the 40th anniversary of the mullahs' terrorist revolution by gathering thousands of people holding Iranian flags near the shrine of the founder of the Khomeini regime, shouting slogans of glorification of Islam and the nation.
As usual every year, celebrations of the 1979 revolution began with the arrival of Khomeini's plane to Tehran airport, AFP correspondents reported. An Air France plane returned Ayatollah Khomeini, the founder of the mullahs' regime and his first supreme guide on February 1, 1979, from his 14-year exile.
The ISNA news agency reported celebrations across the country and a video showing ships honking their sirens at the southern port of Bandar Abbas.

Ahmed Jannati, chairman of the Council of Experts, who appoints the supreme leader of the republic, made a speech in which he condemned those who seek better relations with Washington. "Damn the wrong school of thought that believes that it is not possible for us to run the country without the help of America," he said.
He added that "the US administration is going to fall, even today's allies do not obey and do not fear, so we should not fear America !!
"Malicious America is making every effort to eradicate the Islamic regime, to rob the beliefs and beliefs of young people, and to pressure countries to not communicate with Iran, but they have not and will not be able to do anything despite the petrodollar funds that rushed to help them," Jannati said. On February 1 of each year, Iran marks the first day of "Ten Dawn", the 10-day period between the return of Imam Khomeini and the victory of the revolution on 11 February 1979!

The armed forces also staged two exhibitions in the capital to showcase all weapons designed by Iran 40 years ago.
Economic difficulties
The 40th anniversary of the Iranian revolution comes at a time of economic hardship for Iran.
The commercial and financial results that Iran was hoping to achieve from the signing of the nuclear deal in 2015 with the international community have not materialized, and the country is suffering from the consequences of re-imposing US sanctions following Washington's withdrawal from the agreement in 2018. The government's official Twitter account published a drawing showing a crowd carrying a message President Hassan Rowhani, who said: "Trust the people, this was the great qualities of Imam Khomeini!"
