A member of the Internal Security Forces (ISF) was killed Wednesday in the city of Khorramabad, the provincial capital of Lerstan province, in a clash with unknown gunmen.
According to eyewitnesses, unknown gunmen opened fire on a fuel tank parked in one of the gas stations in the city, causing the explosion of the tank and clashed with the security forces present there.
According to witnesses, the attackers fled the scene after a parked car was stolen at the site of the blast.
Provincial governor Asad Abdellahi said Wednesday that the provincial council would hold a meeting on the incident, with details to be announced later.
