The 3rd International Petroleum Conference and Exhibition of Egypt

Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Medbouli will inaugurate Egypt's third International Petroleum Exhibition (IGPS 2019) on Monday.
Medoubouli is expected to meet with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Sissi, who will hold the conference from 11 to 13 February under the theme "North Africa and the Mediterranean: Meeting Tomorrow's Energy Needs".
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Petroleum, a number of Arab and African oil ministers, officials and heads of major international and regional organizations and international companies working in the petroleum industry will participate in the conference. The Egyptian Oil Minister Tariq Al-Mulla said in a press statement that the conference "has been a great success during the previous two sessions. It is an important window for the Egyptian oil and gas industry to review the success, plans and investment opportunities. It provides a platform for exchanging information, visions and ideas on the most important issues related to the industry."
"The issue of ensuring energy security and the ability to provide it is at the forefront of the conference's agenda this year for discussion among the different sectors of the industry, whether from the petroleum sector, international companies or international and regional organizations," he said.
Mulla stressed that the interest of the international oil companies in this event, both participation and sponsorship, reflects Egypt's distinguished position on the map of the oil and gas industry regionally and internationally. The presence of the heads of international companies in the sessions of the conference to present the successful partnership with the petroleum sector and the new investment plans in Egypt represents a certificate of confidence in the success of the economy. The Egyptian oil and gas industry confirms that there are opportunities to attract more investments to the industry during the coming period.
The third session of the EGEX will include six key sessions, including strategic and technical sessions, energy security, women's health, safety, environment, finance and investment, with the participation of over 200 industry leaders and experts and 1,200 delegates.
The conference will discuss for the first time this year the topics of digital technology in the field of energy and youth empowerment and will participate in the exhibition accompanying 400 companies and 13 countries with pavilions in the exhibition.
