Source reveals new decision of Abdul Mahdi on US forces in Iraq

A security source revealed on Wednesday that the Prime Minister issued a general commander of the armed forces, Adel Abdul Mahdi, a circular to the security institutions to prevent foreign friendly forces from roaming within cities without his consent.
This comes in conjunction with the political and popular demands to remove foreign forces from Iraq, and the uproar that accompanied the tour of the deputy commander of the US military in Iraq, accompanied by Baghdad Operations Commander Lieutenant General Jalil al-Rubaie, on the street Mutanabi cultural center of the capital.
The source said in a press statement that Abdul Mahdi, issued a general to the security institutions, provides for "to prevent the roaming of friendly forces inside Iraqi cities without the approval of the commander-in-chief of the armed forces, Adel Abdul Mahdi."
The Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi, confirmed Tuesday during his weekly conference held at the government headquarters in central Baghdad, that what is presented in the media about the US presence in Iraq is "incomplete facts .. does not address the views of the government."
He added that foreign forces in Iraq, including the US, have no tasks other than "to train the Iraqi side and to provide support in the fight against elements advocating."
On the other hand, the Prime Minister, the US Defense Secretary Patrick Chanahan, the "independence" of the Iraqi decision and not affected by any "influence and dictates" came during a meeting with Shanahan, who made a surprise visit to Iraq on Tuesday morning.
Abdul Mahdi said during the meeting that relations with the United States, contribute to the fight against terrorism and be heard, and must abide by the basic agreements, "the fight against terrorism, and the training of Iraqi forces, and nothing else," stressing at the same time not to accept any " Iraqi territory ".
