    February 27, 2014

    Met with MP Haider al-Abadi Chairman of the Finance Committee and a delegation from the U.S. Treasury Department, headed by Mr. Landau Bakool on Wednesday, 26/02/2014 at the Commission's headquarters.

    During the meeting, the review of technical support and expertise provided by the U.S. Treasury Department in Iraq and its support for the financial and banking sector and elevate it to the level of countries advanced.

    as meeting dealt with the latest developments that have taken place on the draft general budget of the Federal Republic of Iraq for the fiscal year of 2014.

    You never know, this meeting could be simply a review of the process to revalue. After all what are they going to teach them about their  budget?  Elevate the financial and banking system to the level of advanced countries? Sounds like they are readying the accent to international status and it's my opinion revaluing goes hand and hand with that idea.
