The Honor Flight mission is to transport World War II Veterans to Washington, D.C., to visit those memorials dedicated to honor their service and sacrifices and return them home to their families and loved ones. The WWII Memorial was built in 2004, long after the war was over, long after the Vietnam Wall was built and long after the Korean War Memorial. It was built for and to honor our WWII Veterans. Sadly, many never had a chance to see their memorial. Our WWII Veterans are dying at about 600 per day on a national level.
