[rtl]The Chairman of the Energy Committee in the Basra Provincial Council, Ali Shaddad Al-Faris, on Sunday, the formation of the Basra government to a high committee composed of the membership of several bodies responsible to monitor the work of oil companies in the province and the extent of its compliance with Iraqi laws.[/rtl]
[rtl]"The Basra Provincial Council, after consultation with the oil minister and the governor, set up a higher committee composed of members of the ministries of oil, labor and interior, in addition to the provincial council and some concerned bodies to monitor the work of the oil companies operating in Basra, Whose powers are within the jurisdiction of the local government. [rtl]He added that "the work of this committee will be to follow up the commitment of these companies to the Iraqi laws in terms of environmental controls and the operation of manpower and the disbursement of social benefits and receive complaints from citizens about these companies," noting that "the project of the Committee currently with the President of the Council and likely will vote on the provincial council during the next week "He said.[/rtl]
