[Asharq Al-Awsat] Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi said that the city of Sharm el-Sheikh would become a ghost town if it experienced one terrorist attack.

Speaking at a press conference at the end of the first Arab-European summit in Sharm el-Sheikh, Al-Sisi said in response to a reporter's question on human rights, saying that the reality in Europe is different from the Arab world, which is witnessing a situation threatening the collapse of states. A ghost town with one terrorist act. "

"You say now that it is a beautiful and wonderful city and it is able to welcome thousands of people to enjoy nature and provide income to Egypt, but if there is one terrorist incident, Sharm el-Sheikh will become a ghost town for three or four years."

He pointed out that Egypt is at great risk and faces terrorist acts, so the actions are as much as they face.

The two-day Arab-European summit was held in Sharm El-Sheikh on Sunday, the first of its kind, amidst a heavy presence of representatives from European and Arab countries, which reached a total of about 50 delegations from both sides.

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi said the next summit between the two sides would be held in Brussels in 2022.
