    The Customs Authority announced on Tuesday that it amended the decision on exemptions for personal effects, tools and household furniture. 

    In a statement received by Alsumaria News, the agency said that the estimated value of personal effects, tools and household furniture for Iraqis coming to permanent residence has been adjusted to a value of 500 thousand Iraqi dinars instead of 100 Iraqi dinars.




    The Authority added that "personal gifts for tourists and passers-by not exceeding 500 thousand Iraqi dinars instead of 100 Iraqi dinars, except electrical appliances, have been amended, provided they do not have the status of trafficking." 

    "Paragraph (II / 1 / A.4), which also concerns tourists and passers-by, has been amended to become all photographic and cinematographic machinery, mobile phones used, portable personal computers and their own laser discs, regardless of their value, as well as personal jewelery and jewelry. To submit a declaration according to the controls of the Central Bank of Iraq and conclude this acknowledgment of customs stamp and deliver the original to them for the purpose of submission to the customs administration when leaving the country.

    The Authority also explained that "Paragraph (II / 2-3) of the citizens and their judgment upon their departure from the country has also been amended to become (jewelery, jewelry and valuables) and according to the Central Bank of Iraq regulations. The second paragraph (2-4) And it is by virtue of them to become (personal gifts) not exceeding (1000000) million Iraqi dinars, taking into account the controls prescribed by the competent authorities in this regard. 

    She added that "Paragraph (II / 2-B-1), which is also related to citizens and their wisdom, has been amended to become (gifts and personal effects provided that the value does not exceed (2 million) two million Iraqi dinars for arrivals through land and sea ports and (3 million) Million Iraqi dinars for arrivals through airports or charged by air freight. " 

    The Customs Authority has published a list of items banned entry or exit from IraqIncluding currency, military clothing, photocopiers and a menu of food items. 

    The customs authorities shall exercise their duties in the customs and customs boundaries and shall exercise their powers over the territory, the territorial sea and inland water, including lakes, rivers, marshes and marshes in accordance with the provisions of this law.

    The customs authority announced on Tuesday the amendment of the decision on exemptions for personal effects, tools and household furniture.

    The Authority said in a statement today that it has started implementing Resolution No. (1) for the year 2019 as of the date of its publication in the Official Gazette and the amendment of Decree No. (9) of 1984, which specified the exemptions of personal effects, tools and furniture brought by Iraqis coming to permanent residence, tourists and passers-by.

    The decree amended the estimated value of personal belongings, tools and household furniture for Iraqis coming to permanent residence with exemptions to be worth (500,000) five hundred thousand Iraqi dinars instead of (100) one hundred Iraqi dinars.

    The decree also amended the personal gifts for tourists and passers-by that do not exceed (500,000) five hundred thousand Iraqi dinars instead of (100) one hundred Iraqi dinars, except electrical appliances provided that they do not have the status of trafficking.

    It added that the decision amended paragraph (II / 1 / A-4), also related to tourists and transients, to become all the photographic and cinematographic machines they carry, the used cell phones, personal laptops, and their laser discs, irrespective of their value, jewelry and personal jewelry. They submit a declaration according to the controls of the Central Bank of Iraq and conclude this acknowledgment of the customs seal and handed over the original to them for the purpose of submission to customs administration when leaving the country.

    Paragraph (II / 2-3) of the citizens and their judgment when they left the country to be (jewelery, jewelry and valuables) and according to the controls of the Central Bank of Iraq.

    The second paragraph (2 / 2-4), which is also specific to the citizens and from their own judgment, is amended to become "personal gifts", not exceeding (1000000) million Iraqi Dinars, subject to the regulations prescribed by the competent authorities in this regard.

    The amendment of paragraph (II / 2-B-1) also applies to the citizens and their judgment to become gifts and personal effects provided that the value does not exceed (2) million Iraqi Dinars for arrivals through land and sea ports and (3 million) Through airports or charged by air freight.
