WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Trump has withdrawn his troops from Iraq if the Iraqi government makes a request for its American counterpart, a close associate of US President Donald Trump said on Thursday.
"There are Iraqi voices calling for the departure of US troops from Iraq," said Tom Harb, director of the US Middle East Coalition, in televised remarks. "Iraqis have the right to demand the departure of American forces."
He added that "the US withdrawal from Iraq should be through the Iraqi parliament and the government," adding that "Trump will withdraw its troops from Iraq if asked to officially do so."
These statements come with the intention of the largest blocs in the House of Representatives, a coalition and continue to vote on a law to remove all foreign troops from Iraq the beginning of the next legislative term. Ending / 25
