Customs: We certify certificates of origin and invoices from chambers of commerce in the country of origin or intermediary
The General Authority of Customs confirmed on Wednesday that its centers rely on ratifications of origin certificates and invoices from chambers of commerce and industry in the country of origin or intermediary.
"The border customs centers will adopt the ratifications of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the country of origin or the intermediary country on certificates of origin and commercial invoices for imported goods when it is not possible to obtain the ratifications of Iraqi commercial attachés," the agency said in a statement.
The Authority added that "this was based on the decision of the Council of Ministers No. 336 of 2018, which includes the adoption of the recommendations of the Iraqi Economic Development Conference, which paragraph (5) of the first axis of the (not to require certification of the certificate of origin and invoices in the commercial attaches and only the ratification of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the country Origin or intermediary country ").
The Commission pointed out that it had previously directed all its customs centers in 2018/9/17 to the contents of this resolution with the aim of simplifying procedures for the clearance of imported goods through all federal border ports for the public and private sectors and that the decision is still valid.
