MP Majida al-Tamimi accused al-Rashid Bank on Thursday of transferring an employee who uncovered corruption estimated at billions, indicating that it would present documents to the public prosecution and integrity.
"Employee Ziyad Tariq Kazim in Al-Rasheed Bank has uncovered serious financial irregularities in billions and contributed to the detection of corruption and documented it in administrative investigations that were overlooked by the bank that sought to cover it," Tamimi said in a statement in response to Al-Rasheed Bank.
She added that she "monitored the irregularities of the Rashid Bank and many other institutions in the hundreds and is ready to be sent to the Integrity and Public Prosecution and the Supreme Council of Corruption to take legal action against them and will be announced during a press conference very soon"
Tamimi wondered "from the behavior of the Director General of the Rashid Bank, which rewarded the employee who revealed corruption by moving him from his workplace despite his extensive experience in his work, and punished those involved in bypassing the state funds by enabling them to stay in their positions that facilitated them to override state funds" .
"This behavior will send the wrong message to honest employees, as anyone who will expose files of corruption will be punished and its dimensions"
She explained that "it will display a very large number of files that include financial and administrative irregularities involving the Bank of Rashid and other institutions at a press conference soon include the waste of state funds and corruption in billions of documents irrevocable."
On Wednesday, Rasheed Bank revealed that it had received threats from MP Majida al-Tamimi in response to the transfer of his staff
