    BAGHDAD / The head of a coalition of state law, Nuri al-Maliki, on Monday, the possibility that Iraq and Iran play an important role in support and stability in the region.

    "The head of the coalition of state law Nuri al-Maliki met today with the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. Hassan Rowhani, who is currently visiting Iraq.

    " During the meeting, they discussed the future of bilateral relations and means of strengthening them in the interest of the two neighboring countries. The regional situation and the challenges facing the region were discussed," he added.

    Maliki pointed out that the possibility of Iraq and Iran playing an important role in support and stability in the region, calling for more cooperation and coordination between the two sides at various levels, especially in the areas of politics and economy.

    The head of a coalition of state law praised the position of the Islamic Republic of Iran in supporting Iraq during its war against terrorism.

    In turn , the Iranian president stressed "his country 's readiness to develop relations with Iraq in all fields, adding that Iraq 's stability and security has Astbab of paramount importance for the Iranian Islamic Republic. Ended 1
