"The formation of investigative committees and the delaying of their results will give an example and a bad impression on those committees and we must all open all the previous files and activate the investigative committees to reach the actual results supporting the steps to combat corruption." 

For their part, a number of traders demanded from the government to compensate for what was paid to this control by force. 

"The failure to pay the person will have to stay for several days and the possibility of returning the mission to the country of origin and for fabricated reasons," said trader Mohammed al-Ani in an interview with Alsumaria. 

Al-Ani called for "the government to compensate for all that was paid by the traders to this control of bribes by coercion," pointing out that "this control has records of the number of traders and their names, who cross daily through this control."

For his part, said trader Jassim Khalaf that "the state was deficient in not accounting for those corrupt in the customs of yellowing is not known because they harmed the Iraqi economy." 

Khalaf said that "the accountability of the corrupt by the government will put an end to prevent the passing of others on citizens in the future," adding that "the inconsistency of this file and lack of accountability will push others to steal and take bribes." 

Al-Zafra Customs, which is located in Al-Azim district in Diyala province, is known for its "corruption and bribery" of truck owners who transport goods from neighboring countries and who stand in long lines for several days. 

On August 2, 2018, the government abolished zero control, while customs points were opened in the provinces of Kirkuk and Nineveh, according to a document issued by the Prime Minister's Office.

The document, which was issued by the Prime Minister's Office to the General Customs Authority, stated that "a reference to our letter No. (2331) dated 15 July 2018 and to the Joint Operations Command No. 3148 (V / 3148) / 2018, the Prime Minister opened customs points in the provinces of Kirkuk and Nineveh and the closure of the control of the zero.
