BAGHDAD / The chief of staff of the army, Major General Osman al-Ghanmi, represented Iraq, at the meeting of chiefs of staff in the Syrian capital Damascus.
Al-Ghanmi's office said in a statement that the latter arrived in Damascus on Sunday to head a high-level delegation to the meeting of the chiefs of staff.
"The meeting, which will be attended by the chiefs of staff of Syria and Iran, aims to strengthen relations and coordination between the three countries to combat terrorism and discuss the achievement of security stability in the region," he added. Finished
