    The Secretary-General of the World Customs Organization (WCO), Cuneo Mekoria, visited Iraq on Monday, while stressing his intention to provide logistical and political support to the country. 
    "Cuneo Mekoria, Secretary-General of the World Customs Organization (WCO), who is visiting Iraq, received a special mission aimed at developing joint cooperation between the organization and the Iraqi government in the field of customs work and protection of cultural heritage in its first visit of its kind," the agency said in a statement received by Mawazine News, .
    The statement added that "the Director General of the Authority, was received by Micuria this morning, a meeting was held in the presence of the heads of the departments concerned with import operations represented by the Director General of the General Company for Trade and Trade Services of Iraq and the Director General of the Standardization Department and the Director General of Customs Police and the Director of Arab and international police, Research at the Customs Organization Thomas Cantis. "
    He explained that "the visit of Micuria for the period from 24 to 26 March 2019 comes in the framework of providing political and international support for Iraqi customs and harnessing the expertise and capabilities of the Organization to develop and reform the customs system in Iraq and raise it to the level of international standards," pointing out that " On the outputs of the diagnostic visit carried out by a number of experts to the customs centers, during which they briefed on the progress of work in them, and held several workshops, which identified the needs for the advancement of customs and will submit Micoria final report on the Iraqi government. 
    The World Customs Organization (WCO) has a membership of 183 countries and is responsible for setting standards and customs manuals and providing support to customs administrations to enable them to adopt best customs practices.

    The Iraqi Communications and Information Commission imposed a five-day sentence on Cork Telecom, and demanded that Cork partners sever the interconnection with the latter for five days due to its failure to comply with the terms of the license contract.
    In a letter addressed to partner companies of Korek Telecom, I asked them to break the interconnection with Cork Telecom for five days, from today, Sunday, March 24, 2019.

    Asiacell: We have temporarily disconnected from Korek Telecom
    "We have received a letter from the Iraqi Media and Communications Commission asking us to break the interconnection with Cork Telecom for a limited period of time. The book pointed out that due to the breach of Cork Telecom's instructions, interconnection will be cut off, The book was directed to a number of other companies and not to us alone. "
    The spokesman for Asiacell said the interconnection was limited by five days, and as of last night's remedy, the decision was made by their company.
